ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
An Alumni Association Cell is a formal platform established by a college to maintain a lifelong relationship between the institution and its former students. It acts as a bridge, transforming "passed-out students" into active "stakeholders" who contribute to the college's growth and the current students' careers.
Core Objectives
The primary goal of the cell is to build a strong network that benefits both the college and its alumni.
- Networking: Connecting graduates across different batches, industries, and geographical locations.
- Giving Back: Channelling alumni expertise, time, and financial resources toward the development of their alma mater.
- Mentorship: Using the professional experience of alumni to guide current students through career transitions.
- Brand Building: Leveraging the success of alumni to enhance the college's reputation and ranking (e.g., during NAAC accreditation).
Key Activities & Initiatives
- Alumni Meets (Reunions): Organizing annual or silver/golden jubilee gatherings to celebrate nostalgia and strengthen bonds.
- Expert Lectures & Webinars: Inviting successful alumni to share industry trends, technical skills, and career advice with current students.
- Placement & Internship Support: Leveraging the alumni network to secure job opportunities and "industry projects" for juniors.

- Newsletter & Portal: Maintaining a dedicated Alumni Portal or directory to keep track of career progress and achievements.

Sushrutha Health Centre inauguration
Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sahyadri Commerce and Management College, in joint association with Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, and Cordial support by the Sarji Hospital Shivamogga, successfully organized Sushrutha Health Centre inauguration & which was inaugurated by Dr. Dhananjaya Sarji Member of Legislative Assembly, Shivamogga on 2nd November 2025.
Free Dental Check-up in association with Subbiah Dental medical Sciences, Shivamogga.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and in jointly association with Subbiah Dental medical Sciences, Shivamogga and Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, successfully organized Free Dental Check-up on 9th April 2025 to all the teaching and non-teaching faculties and all the students of our college.
Breast Cancer Awareness program
Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sahyadri Commerce and Management College, in joint association with Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, and M I O Speciality Cancer Hospital Thirthahalli, successfully organized a Breast Cancer Awareness program to the Girls students on 19th November 2024.
Program on Free Haemoglobin test Health Check-Up
The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sahyadri Commerce and Management College, in joint association with Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, and IMA of Shivamogga, successfully organized a Program on Haemoglobin test Health check-up on 8th May 2025.
World Environment Day
The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sahyadri Commerce and Management College, in association with Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, successfully organized a World Environment Day” on 5th June 2025. To create importance & protection of Environment among the students.
Orientation Programme for First Year Students
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and in jointly association with Subbiah Dental medical Sciences, Shivamogga and Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, successfully organized Orientation Programme for First year Students on 15th July 2025 to all first year B.Com, BBA, and BBA (T&T) students of our college.
Two-Day Workshop on “Soft Skills”
The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sahyadri Commerce and Management College, in association with Sneha Spandhana Alumni Association, successfully organized a Two-Day Workshop on “Soft Skills” on 11th and 12th August 2025. Almost 300 interested final year B.Com, BBA, and BBA (T&T) students get fruitful information from the resource persons.
